In one of the modular classrooms in the lower parking lot, it is possible to push desks aside and gain enough space for 7-8 people to move somewhat. The other options on campus are few: a room off the gymnasium with carpet over concrete (hard on the knees); other carpeted classrooms also filled with desks (at least, these are on wheels); the Faculty Lounge (yes, the faculty lounge: a carpeted conference room adjacent to the student dining hall)… or… or, I don’t know where else. At any rate, it’s possible to teach theatre anywhere, and to perform it anywhere, and we are certainly fortunate to have light, heat and nearby plumbing, yes? And physical ability, intelligence, enthusiasm and the capacity to cooperate, create and collaborate.
